Please support the students of Tower Hill Church!
Teenagers who attend our STUDENT MISSION TRIP and our ANNUAL HANDBELL TOUR need help! Your donation will help our students afford these unique opportunities to spread the love of Christ to communities outside of New Jersey.
Our STUDENT MISSION TRIP connects our high schoolers with a community in need. Tower Hill partners with Group Mission Trips
to create an incredible week-long mission experience – this summer, 32 high schoolers and 6 adult chaperones from Tower Hill will travel to Waverly, New York, the week of June 28. They will provide home repairs and help transform homes at no cost for elderly, disabled and disadvantaged neighbors who need help. Previous destinations have included towns in Ohio, Maryland, and West Virginia. Students are grouped into work crews with other teenagers from across the country and go into the community to paint and work minor construction projects under supervision by adults. Examples of work done on previous trips include building wheelchair ramps & handrails; weatherizing homes and trailers; interior and exterior carpentry; and other home repairs that the homeowner cannot complete.
Our ANNUAL HANDBELL TOUR is for teenage ringers at Tower Hill Church. Our two teen handbell teams are the Calvin Ringers (more advanced players, some of whom have been playing since the 3rd grade) and the Chapel Ringers (intermediate, some with no previous music experience). This year’s tour, scheduled for the week of July 6, includes performances at churches and outdoor venues. A mission aspect of the trip, and often the ringers most memorable stop, is performing at assisted living facilities along the tour route and interacting one on one with the residents. Handbell choirs are a unique way to build camaraderie and help build self-esteem in students of all ages, while also bringing the dynamic and distinctive sounds of music to mass audiences.
