Tournament of Minds Grand Final Hobart

After countless hours of work preparing for the regional finals of Tournament of Minds in Coffs Harbour, Hastings Public School STEM team came first and secured themselves a place at the NSW state finals in Sydney.
On the 15th of September the team prepared a solution to a challenge most adults would find tough and beat 10 other teams, coming first!!
This is a huge achievement and honour in itself. Now the 7 members of the team and their facilitator have to travel to Hobart for the International Final on the 24th - 26th of October 2019.
This comes at significant financial cost for the families with only 5 weeks notice. Each child has to pay $690 just for the three nights accomodation, meals and activities while with the TOM group. This does not include flights from Sydney to Hobart or travel to Sydney. So the final cost will be well over $1000 per team member!
The team are brainstorming fundraising ideas, but this a place where those who would like to help in anyway can donate a few dollars to help them on their way and show their support. We appreciate your support!
