TOUGH MUDDER 2021 - MIND & SPARK

7 Friends, 2 Charities & a lot of Mud.
Myself, Charlie Crook, Fin Draper, Harry Elmes, Dave Simmons, Bailey Dixon & Ben Lucas have set the target to complete Tough Mudder 2021 in South London on 19th September. This is a 10 mile mud run with 25 obstacles and challenges along the way which will be a real test of fitness, strength and teamwork. Given that the fitness levels of the group are somewhat embarrassing this will be a real challenge for us.
The 2 amazing charities will be raising money for are Mind Havant and East Hants & Spark Community Space.
Mind HEH are superb charity who's main focus is to help support those with mental health issues in the local area. Over the last year and a half myself, and pretty much all of the boys, have suffered with mental health problems. We have all been pretty open with each other and have had many deep chats which for sure kick started the recovery process and also brung us closer as a group. Opening up and talking is such a key step in improving mental health which is why we want to raise funds for MIND HEH who can give the best level of support to those most in need.
Spark Community Space are a newly formed local charity who offer a space for people to come have a coffee, cake and chat with the prices being a pay what you can afford rate. After life changing brain surgery the founder wanted to create an all inclusive space so that all can belong to help bring a Spark back into life! Given the recent year we’ve had, where communication has mostly come via a screen, having a place for those in need to come and socialise is so crucial. This is all made possible by the amazing work done at Spark.
Any donation, no matter how small is very much appreciated and we all will be grateful for every penny raised. We have set our goal at £1,000 which will have such a big impact on the two charities and supporting there aims.
We will update the page and put social media’s with loads of pictures throughout and after the event too!

NOTE: All monies will be sent, initially, directly to Mind HEH and on receipt, 50% of the final donation amount will be transfered to Spark Community Space.
