Tough like Tanner

Tanner Jeffrey Jolley was truly a heaven sent angel. At the young age of 2 this sweet boy touched so many lives and completed his earthly mission. Tanner was being Life Flighted to Primary Children's Hospital when complications arose. Tanner was so sick and his wonderful medical staff tried everything, but his little body was tired of fighting. He passed from this life and returned to the arms of his loving Heavenly Father on August 27, 2018.
Tanner was diagnosed with Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD) in May of 2016. CBD is when the white blood cells in the body are not working correctly and as such the immune system cannot fight off bacteria. This sweet boy and his parents are fighters. After staying at Primary Children's Hospital for months, chemotherapy, and a Bone Marrow Transplant, Tanner was finally able to come home to St. George. We are forever grateful for his donor who gave us an extra year with this sweet boy! Following his return to St. George, Tanner had regular visits to Primary Children's to help his body accept the transplant and to grow up strong and healthy.
Tanner loved playing with his sister Caroline. He was his dad's best buddy and fishing partner. He was his mom's little boy and was always happy in her arms. He loved to read books and could bust some good dance moves. His personality would light up the room.
Our hearts are broken as we will miss our best buddy boy. We are without words and cannot image the grief that his dad, mom, and sister are experiencing. Those 3 have been with Tanner through every step in his earthly journey and were truly his biggest cheerleaders and best friends! We are so grateful for the many medical professionals who have fought so hard for this sweet boy and have loved him! We are in awe of his incredible parents and darling sister as they journey through this trial.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington Stake Center, 446 East Mangum Road, Washington, Utah.
A viewing service will be held Friday, August 31, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Stake Center and again on Saturday, September 1, 2018, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be at the Washington City Cemetery. Funeral services are the under the direction of Hughes Mortuary.
