Torbay lifeboat crew support Ukrainian refugees

Our purpose is to supply provisions to Ukrainian families who've fled their homes to escape the war.

 

We will gather, purchase and deliver the everyday goods that charities on the ground at the border have told us will make life a little more bearable for refugees in their first weeks in a foreign country.

 

As volunteers for Torbay lifeboats, we know how generous our community can be to aid a good cause. And helping bewildered refugees as they seek a haven abroad is a priority cause we cannot ignore.

 

We will fundraise, collect and pack two transit vans with provisions and drive them to Medyka, Poland, a key crossing point and centre for supplying and supporting Ukrainian refugees.

 

So, please donate whatever you can to help us. We've been asked for new and unused goods, comprising: first aid kits, Milton sterilising tablets, feminine hygiene products, baby nappies and wipes, sleeping bags, blankets, general hygiene products (toothpaste/brush, soap, shampoo, loo rolls), children’s medicines, pre-mixed baby milk, baby bottles, anti-BAC wipes, batteries, dog/cat food, thermos flasks, protein bars, kid’s colouring pens and books... if you can supply any of these by 21st April, that'd be brilliant!
