Hi there. My name is Hannah, and I am raising money for my roommate's top surgery as a surprise to give him on Christmas.
About 2 years ago, my roommate moved from his family's house as there was conflict about him transitioning. He began transitioning with his family's help, but it quickly fell through and he had to bear the weight of his medical funds and living expenses with no support.
While he is in a much better place now, he is living paycheck to paycheck and has very little left over to put into savings, or a medical fund. Being able to get top surgery would be an incredible experience for him and would lift a lot of pressure off of his shoulders.
The money from this fund would go towards covering the out of pocket expenses of top surgery, the consultation appointments, aftercare, and any loss of wages from being unable to work during the recovery period.
