Tootsie’s emergency surgery and recovery fund

Hello my name is Jessica Koesel, and I am desperately searching for any help I can get towards my fur baby tootsie’s emergency.
Here is a little bit of our story: Tootsie was born 06/22/20 she was the first puppy I had ever delivered if I hadn't have helped her mom deliver her she would not have survived. From day one we had a special connection that was so strong. But the one that she had with my then 4 month old was one I had never before seen. The two were inseparable from day one. Any chance tootsie got she would snuggle right up next to Sophia and immediately fall asleep. They became best friends, I knew they had a bond that nothing could break.
I can not think of any words that could describe the terror i felt two nights ago when the accident happened. October 25th at 8pm tootsie ran past me out of our house chasing something. She ran right out to the road and was hit by a car. I ran after screaming closest animal ER which happened to be the VCA in Tacoma. They requested a $500 deposit before any treatment could be offered so I borrowed the money from my mom. they did an exam and X-rays and determined she needs surgery on her back right leg or it needs to be amputated. I am a stay and home mom of 4 kids. We live off of a very limited income so $5000+ that they were asking was not something that I was going to be able to come up with. So we took her home that night with pain meds and a copy of the x-rays and started searching a few hours later for a vet that might cost less. I called what must have been over 100 places and didn't receive a single call back. My mom finally got ahold of a vet that would see her same day. We took her in and they told us that it would have to be amputated due to the break being to severe. So we set her surgery for today at 9am. I'm currently waiting to hear back from them on how it went.
This was the most unexpected tragedy that hit our family. I don't think that I will ever be able to show just how grateful I am for everyone that has prayed or shared information to help us. If anyone can donate any amount so that I can pay my mom back I would be forever grateful! i would like to raise $3000 (500 for initial VCA visit and 2500 for cost of the surgery) I will keep updating throughout our journey and transition into our new normal.
