Update 8/28: Jen and Tony are home safe and sound. Tony is starting to look like his old self again. :) Still a long road ahead of appointments and deciding the future for surgery but I believe he is headed in the right direction. Jen has been the strength for this Toma Family and Tony is so lucky to have her. They are lucky to have all of you as well. We are organizing a garage sale September 13th 8a-3p in our community at Hidden Acres, North Fort Myers. If any one is local and wants to donate items to be sold you can reach out to me and we will organize how to get them to the location. Thanks for your continued support Tony was beside himself when he saw everything we all have been doing. Please keep sharing and thanks for all your support.
Update 8/13: They admitted Tony into Cleveland Clinic for a few days and he will be seeing a GI Specialist Doctor. They will be running some tests and start him on medicine. The Doctor assured Tony and Jen that he has seen much worse and Tony will be fine. Terrific news :) so happy but still a long road of healing ahead. Thank you again for all your continued support and sending this message to as many people we can.
UPDATE 8/12: Doctors just released Tony. Now he and Jen just took off from Fort Myers, on their way to Cleveland. His first appt. is tomorrow so fingers crossed; they admitt him right away. Wanted to thank everyone for all their support and donations. So far we have raised over $8,250 combined, all in the past three months, with your generous support, bake sales and fundraisers. There is still a long road ahead so keep him in your thoughts, prayers. Keep posting on your facebook status and share to as many people as possible. We will keep everyone updated as soon as we get any news!
UPDATE 8/6: Tony's recovery is not going well, he is back in the hospital again. His best chance in getting better and healing properly is to go see a specialist. The Cleveland Clinic in Ohio has decided to meet with him. PLEASE LET'S ALL COME TOGETHER TO HELP THE TOMA FAMILY GET THERE...
Tony’s friends are reaching out for help. Tony has been battling a fight with his Crohn’s disease for most of his life but the real battle started about a three months ago. Through hospitalization, surgeries and countless infections he is still in the hospital fighting. Tony’s brave wife Jennifer, has
been the back bone for the Toma family and has been spending countless days at the hospital and managing her time to be at home and work. We all know how hard it can be to manage finances in a time like this so lets come together and help keep her spirits high, worries low, and do what we can to make sure he gets taken care of and back with us as soon as possible.
