Rough recovery after Tony’s 5th surgery

My dear friend Tony is going into surgery on Monday, September 24th. This will be his third surgery this year.
Tony’s work has been placed on hold, so he can address his important health issues. He is DJ Tony Built, but he has become a full-time patient this year in 2018.
He had planned to have a total knee replacement (TKR) in February this year. After a dozen years of severe pain and spending the last 2 &1/2 years in a knee brace, he had no choice.
Unfortunately, he ruptured the triceps tendon of his left arm and it became a priority to repair that damage first. He had that surgery on 2/7/18, was in a cast for a month, then a brace and physical therapy for the next 2 months. He had to wait for the TKR until his arm had recovered enough to bear his weight on crutches.
On 5/21/18, he had a TKR on his left leg, was hospitalized for 2 days, then recovery and physical therapy followed. Full recovery was supposed to take between 3 to 6 months. However, he had a serious & rare complication in the 3rd month.
His patellar tendon [which runs from your quadriceps across the knee cap to the tibia (shin bone)] has completely torn off his tibia.
He will be having surgery on 9/24/18 to reattach the tendon. His knee will have to stay in a fully extended position (kept immobile in full leg cast or brace) for 3 months. Physical therapy will begin after the next 3 months and recovery is expected to take 6 months.
Please consider assisting my friend during his recovery. Insurance will only cover a portion of these expenses, and he will need assistance to pay for physical therapy, and his living expenses while in recovery, up to six months.
He is a wonderful man, who could use some assistance right now. I would love for this to make things financially easier for him.
