Tony Hickman's Memorial fundraising

Last year in the middle of the global pandemic, myself and my partner of 30 years, heard the words that no one ever wants to hear.

In October 2020 Tony was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell carcinoma.

It's never easy to go through this journey but for us and so many others, it has been made so much harder due to the pandemic. Not being able to go through every step holding his hand was so incredibly difficult. But Tony was a fighter and so impressively brave. He fought with every ounce of his being, until the very end.

His fight was a short one as he passed away at the end of April 2021. We had barely got our heads around the diagnosis.

In that short time, he had chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, and radiotherapy and we had begun to look at complementary therapies to aid in his treatments but unfortunately, time was not on our side.

Because of this and the things that I have since learned about this horrible disease, I have decided to raise money to open a clinic in Tony’s memory.

‘The Hickman Therapy Center’, will offer complementary therapies to help those suffering from cancer.

Treatments that can aid in recovery, and ease the side effects of traditional cancer treatments, and also help improve the quality of life for those on this journey.

My dream is to have a hyperbaric oxygen chamber that can help in the recovery of patients who have undergone radiotherapy.

They are also good for a range of other health and beauty reasons, including MS, long covid, pulmonary disease, severe asthma, cystic fibrosis and fibromyalgia and I would love to offer them to clients for there many uses. My plan is that the payments for these will then mean that I can offer the treatment at a reduced rate for those undergoing cancer treatment.

This piece of equipment is incredibly expensive, and I need help to raise the funds.

I plan on having several different treatments and help under one roof for those needing physical and emotional support, including a PEMF Therapy machine and an infrared led light.

I want something good to come out of the suffering that we have endured and to positively impact others who are currently fighting their own battles. Every penny donated will mean so very much. I cannot thank you all enough for the love and support we were and still are being shown.
