As I'm sure many of you know, I got sober 6 months ago and what has transpired since, I would have never seen coming... I was always too afraid to try anything remotely different, or out of the ordinary as I was so worried by what people might think of me. I was stuck in my own little world and couldn't see beyond the post code of W10... It took me a long time to realise that I wasn't happy and was heading nowhere fast, so something needed to change and inevitably it was me. So I made the commitment to go to rehab and inevitably change the direction of my life.
In those 6 months, I found a passion for something, I never knew existed and it's this passion that has me trying to raise funding for a project I want to make this summer. I want to make a documentary of a character I have created, Chris Tone, and his friends and their journey to the world cup.
Chris Tone, is the son of an England football legend and he dreams of being a famous football pundit/journalist. He's got a youtube channel called Tone Talk and the plan is to take the team through Europe and on to Russia. The aim is to interview fans and document their journey as they travel, through Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin and Russia. We are going to attempt to get into the England training camp, try and source tickets, busk and perform gigs on route but to make this all possible, we are going to need to raise some funds for equipment and travel expenses.
Any money that you can spare will go towards making this dream possible. It's going to be an incredible experience and the plan is to cut it all together at the end and make it into a film, which we will then sell to Netflix for millions, so any money invested will be paid back further down the line ;) . Anyone who invests will be credited at the end of the film and will have first dibs on any future projects... Haha.
We plan to set off in the first week of June, so need as much as we can before then. Anything anyone can spare, even if it's 50p will go a long way and I will be incredibly grateful.
It's gonna be dangerous at times but life is meant to be lived and even me making this page, asking for help, is something that puts a smile on my face because the old Josh, would never have dreamt of doing something like this...
