Tom's Burglary Recovery Assistance

On the night of March 2, 2017, my daughter and I walked into our house to find it had been ransacked and burglarized. Dishes, food, and personal documents were scattered across the floor. We didn't have much of value in the house itself, other than my wife's jewelry and the kids' television set, all of which they took.

The biggest loss was in the garage, where I have my shop. I earn a living building houses, making furniture, and doing art. The thieves gutted my workshop, taking tools and valuable art supplies, seriously limiting my ability to support my family. Perhaps worst of all is the sense of violation that my wife, daughters and myself all feel in our own home after this event.

I need to replace the tools and equipment that was taken as soon as possible, as without them I cannot fulfill the work commitments I have coming up. But beyond my ability to earn a living, my hope is to ease the fear and anxiety in my family by erecting a fence and gate around the part of our property where the house is located. Nothing fancy, just a chain link fence to deter intruders. My cousins and I would do all the labor, but the cost of materials and equipment rentals would be prohibitive. 

I estimate the cost of replacing the tools that were stolen to be approximately $2000. This is the most pressing consideration in getting me back on my feet, and I hope to raise this as soon as possible. The balance of my goal should be enough to aquire most if not all of the materials needed for a security fence.
