Tommy's Leukemia

Tommy was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on December 28, 2020. He is 14 months old and just started learning to walk. He has big blue eyes and a heart of gold. If he sees someone upset he comes to the rescue to do his best to cheer you up. He loves cats and dogs. We believe his favorite color is purple because he is always lookin at little girls in purple, or playing with something purple.
Tommy has been in the hospital since December 27, 2020. He misses his sister, Sarah, who is usually his constant companion. His mom is a single mom raising 2 small children.
Tommy has done very well with the treatment that has been given. He hit a few hurdles and didn't eat for a few days, but the doctors gave him a appetite enhancer for a couple days and his eating has picked back up. He's started gaining weight again.
His platelets have been low a few times and he's had to have transfusions which he responds well to.
We're hopeful that he'll get out of the hospital soon.
