On July 16 2018 Tom was admitted to Piedmont Newnan Hospital and was diagnosed with Necrotizing Fasciitis on his right leg, also known as the flesh eating bacteria.  The wound starts behind the knee all the way down the back of the calf right above the ankle.   While at the hospital Tom learned that he is also diabetic.  The diabetes exasperates the healing process.   Tom was released from the hospital on August 3rd and continues to visit the wound clinic twice a week.  He has had three surgeries and one Apligraf (skin graft) to regenerate the skins cells.  Recovery is not text book and the healing process is very slow.  Tom is self-employed and disabled.  The doctors have not put a time frame on when his leg will be fully healed.  God is so good as we can see progress but it's still a huge battle.  Until Tom is able to resume his business funds are needed to assist with bills that don't stop.  Please pray about what you can give to help.  We know and trust God that he will get us through this storm in our life.
