Tom Watt "The Buffett Man" Help Fund

Donation protected
From Tom's son Adam: As some of you may already know, my dad Tom Watt suffered a stroke this past Thursday morning. If my mom Mary Lou hadn’t acted as quickly as she did we would have lost him. He was flown from Forbes to Allegheny General & is getting amazing care from their stroke unit staff. My mom & my brother Zach have been absolute saints through all of this, both spending long nights keeping dad calm so he can rest & recover.

Dad is, as many have written to me, “A tough SOB.” He truly is. But honestly...this is also the first time I’ve ever seen him scared of anything. But he is brave & he will fight his way back. He has remained conscious through it all & has not lost his sense of humor. More than anything, though, he wants to get back to the things he loves most: singing, boating, & spending time with his three grandchildren. (Yesterday he was already asking me to bring his MacBook to the hospital so he can go over songs!)

He still has no movement in his left arm or left leg, but his speech is getting better & he is eating some between naps. My family & I appreciate the prayers, well-wishes, & kind words we’ve received from so many of you already. It’s a long road ahead for dad & the rest of us, but your support is truly helping us weather this storm. We love yinz guys.
