"Tom had cardiac arrest due to V-Tach, Wednesday at 3am while working at his job at Starbucks roasting plant. His coworkers that have CPR training and the fact that Starbucks has defibrillators on site saved his life. He has finally woken up this morning. Thru all this trauma we discovered that Tom has some kind of blood cancer or lukeimea. They are doing a bone marrow biopsy today to diagnose and start treatment asap. Tom did not have a heart attack, his heart and vital signs are strong and healthy and Tom is a fighter!! Tom is not strong enough in body but more significantly he is not strong enough in his brain to withstand the rigorous aggressive chemo that his ALL leukemia requires. His doctor and oncologist said the chemo will kill him in the worst way so they will not treat him for cancer. When Tom suffered the cardiac arrest he was without oxygen to the brain from 6 to 10 mins that is why his brain is not strong enough. We dont want Tom to suffer and die from chemotherapy. I will not send him to a long term care facility! He will be home, comfortable, surrounded by his family and friends for as long as his journey takes.
