We are honored that you want to possibly donate to an organization as a symbolic way to honor my Dad. We chose a goal of $13 because we would be thrilled with anything, so if we get more donations ,great. However 13 was Bud's favorite number. He once went down to Dream Week in Florida back in the 80's and got to play ball at an adult only baseball camp with the Orioles! His number on his jersey was 13.
Now, I we know we can hit that goal of $13 out of the park, so let's get at it!
Why Rec baseball? Bud loved baseball, and was active in rec baseball as a coach with Emmorton Recreation during the 70's and 80's. His son was involved in this same rec club, which got Bud involved and turned into lots of coaching.
To honor his life, we would like to donate to the Emmorton Rec and the donations will be earmarked for equipment/uniforms for youth ball players so that they can play ball.
Any amount of donation would be great! We appreciate it and we know that Bud is thankful.
Now, let's play ball and smash this donation goal outta the park!!
Final donation amounts will given 100% to Emmorton Recreation Council in Harford County MD.
Bud's wife of 50years, his children and grandchildren will personally deliver the donation to the Emmorton Rec. Thank you for your support!!We would like to leave up the donation fund for two weeks and will close the donations on March 13 , 2021.
