Tom Blank Memorial Fund
Tax deductible
From Elaine Blank:
"On December 4th My husband, Tom Blank, died from the effects of a rare disease called Primary Myelofibrosis. Between September 2 and the middle of November, 2020 Tom had to have blood transfusions every four to seven days. Mid-November it was determined that the transfusions were not holding his blood at a sustainable level. He became extremely weak and his body began to shut down.
Our family is very grateful for the many, many units of blood that my husband received over those weeks. During this time we were aware of the amount of people sitting in the infusion lab receiving blood and were overcome with the need for blood.
If you can donate blood in Florida, Ohio or the Carolinas, OneBlood(https://www.oneblood.org/ ) and Vitalant (https://vitalant.org/) are non-profit blood collection facilities that service infusion labs. If you would like to make a monetary donation on behalf of Tom's Memorial feel free to donate through this GoFundMe Page, 100% of the donation goes to OneBlood which services the local labs which helped my husband.
Blood is the gift that costs you nothing but is priceless to the recipient."
Please feel free to leave memories of Tom and notes for our family in the comments below.
