Tolerance: Ability not Inability

The Tolerance story so far

A group of plucky young people who called themselves the Tolerance group, with the aid of a local production company, decided to make a 30-minute comedy / drama about what it is like to live as a young person with a disability in the 21st century.  Against all the odds and with some laughter and a few tears, the film was made and completed in 1999, but it ended up in the film producer's loft for 11 years gathering dust.

Ben Brown and Gemma Blagbrough, our heroes in this story, think this is not good enough and decide they want to update the product and give it the relaunch it deserves. Their aim is to use the film as a teaching tool for local schools and youth groups and organisations to raise awareness about disability and issues faced by people with disabilities.

The first target is to get a website up and running, so that we can use it within community groups and promote disability in a positive way.

The Tolerance Project has its own Tumblr page which you can find by clicking on the above link https://yestolerancepro.tumblr.com/ and its own twitter feed which you can find by clicking on this link https://twitter.com/TolerancePro
