Make a difference for Manuel Luis de Sousa Brito

Hello my name is Paulo, and I am fundraising in support of our friend Manuel Luis de Sousa Brito. During Covid, Luis moved back to Portugal from Toronto, to move in with his widowed mother who was very ill and needed support. Unfortunately for the last couple of years, Luis has also been experiencing a challenging time with his own health, including suffering with cancer. In desperation to treat his cancer, he had to undergo expensive medical procedures which in turn, resulted in a depletion of his funds.

As long as I have known Luis, he has been a supportive friend who has always been quick to make himself available to someone in need. Now in his time of dire financial struggle, I feel Luis is also deserving of support from his friends and family. Luis did not ask for this GoFundMe to be set up as he is too humble to ask for help, nor is he yet aware that this fundraiser has been initiated. However, at this time of illness and financial desperation, he will most certainly be overwhelmed with gratitude by the support from his family and friends.

On his behalf, I ask you to please consider supporting Luis financially through this fundraiser. The funds raised will be used to cover his medical expenses and everyday needs, as he is currently unable to financially support himself. At this time of increasingly rising costs for everyone, it is not easy to reach out and ask for donations; therefore, any amount you are able to donate will be greatly appreciated.
