Queridos amigos y familiares, el 23 de diciembre, mi querida amiga Gladys Puerta recibió una noticia que cambiaría su vida para siempre ... le diagnosticaron cáncer después de una biopsia de rutina de un pequeño bulto que Comenzó a crecer en su muslo izquierdo ...
El 4 de octubre Gladys comenzó a sentir un malestar en su muslo izquierdo, como una protuberancia, comenzó a sentir un dolor tan fuerte que fui con ella a la sala de emergencias en el Kendall Regional Hospital, ese día sólo le dieron algunos analgésicos y la refirieron al Médico de cabecera, en esa cita el médico le prescribió una resonancia magnética y cuando obtuvo el resultado que no se veía muy bien, la remitió al cirujano para hacer una biopsia, que se realizó el 23 de diciembre (justo antes de Navidad), ese día las noticias fueron las peores, encontraron un tumor maligno llamado "Sarcoma", 10 días más tarde recibió el diagnóstico final, MYXOFIBROSARCOMA PLEOMORFICO ALTO GRADO, GRADO 3/3 - También conocido como CÁNCER DE TEJIDOS BLANDOS (un tipo de cáncer bastante raro) Este tipo de tumor tiene el potencial de comportarse de una manera muy agresiva por lo que necesita iniciar su tratamiento de quimioterapia tan pronto como sea posible, también probablemente podría tener radioterapia y necesitará una cirugía después para eliminar el tumor sin márgenes. Actualmente está siendo tratada en el Miami Cancer Institute de Baptist Hospital en Kendall, Florida pero su seguro médico tiene un alto costo en deducibles y copagos por exámenes, procedimientos y quimioterapia, y no cuenta con esas cantidades, por lo que esta campaña se ha creado para dar la oportunidad de ayudarla a todos los que la conocemos y nos solidarizamos Con su situación ... ninguna contribución se considera pequeña, cada granito cuenta en este momento para ella.
