Todd Moore, one of the most beloved members of the Derby, Kansas High School Class of '91, is in critical condition and needs your help!
First and foremost, the Moore family is asking for prayers for both his ongoing recovery as well as guidance for the doctors and staff caring for Todd. Currently Todd is undergoing treatment to correct a bacterial problem in both his mitral and aortic valves, but he is far from being out of the woods yet.
Todd will be needing open heart surgery to replace both the mitral and aortic valves in his heart. Todd is still struggling to fight off the infection, using a breathing tube, on kidney dialysis, as well as being heavily sedated most of the time. Any attempt to lower his sedation level has left him agitated and uncomfortable.
The Class of '91 has come together to help raise funds for the family during Todd's critical time of need. With Todd unable to work for the foreseeable future, he will be incapable of providing for his family, and they will be needing immediate access to funds.
For those of us with children, this is absolutely unthinkable. On top of that, the medical expenses will be ranging in the tens of thousands of dollars when it is all said and done. It is our hope that we can raise enough funds so that the family will not have to worry about money or medical bills and can completely focus on healing.
