Todd Johnson’s Fierce Fight

Todd and his family have been a part of my family for almost 50 years.
In early February Todd was diagnosed with stage 3 Colon Cancer. He has a 15cm tumor in his Sigmoid Colon at the border of his rectum and had spread to some nearby lymph nodes. Due to the size of the tumor, the doctors decided to go the more involved route of treatment for rectal cancer. Since the tumor was blocking most of his colon he had surgery on March 3rd to place a temporary diverting Ileostomy bag. Then beginning March 17th he started 4 months of I.V chemotherapy with the plan of then doing 6 weeks of Radiation and a chemotherapy pill with the hopes to shrink the tumor 70-80% so they could then remove the Sigmoid colon and the ileostomy bag and reconnect the remaining colon. However, Todd had a CT Scan done last Thursday and they told him today that the scan now shows that the cancer has spread to small spots in the Liver. The cancer spread to the Liver while he was doing chemo and he now has Stage 4 Colon cancer. He will be starting over with 4 months of very aggressive I.V. Chemotherapy, that will make him quite ill and he will now have to have a portion of his Liver removed as well. This treatment will take well over a year to complete.
Todds daily comment goes like this, "I am fighting this with everything I have in me, every day, so I will be able to enjoy my kids lives with them as they grow up". Not a chance I'm missing out on anything with them!
Funds would be used for outstanding medical bills and living expenses as Todd cannot work as he had to resign from his job to fight this cancer. He has no income coming in.
As Todd's family believes so strongly in the power of prayer and the Lord's Love and grace, we ask that everyone pray for healing, strength and peace for Todd and their family during this difficult time. All prayers are greatly appreciated!
