(Nice to meet you ladies and gentlemen)

Nice to meet you, or welcome to my fundraising page, friends and families.

Some of you know my journey in Uganda, some others don’t, so I’ ll introduce you quickly, with the beginning of this growing adventure :-D

I came to Uganda to help in the communities. Me and Peter from the Keilah Community Childcare Uganda, got in touch together, and him and his NGO immediately got all my attention. When I got to speak with him, I saw from where he was coming from with his orphan youth life, where he was standing with his family wanting to help and already aligning the stars to make miracles through the needed people, AND where he wanted to go in the future, to help further more hungry and sick ones.

Peter is one of the founders and director of Keilah Community Childcare Uganda (KCCU), a registered organization working to empower vulnerable Children and young people through education and self-help skills. The organization is divided in 4 sections:

-GIVE A HAND PROJECT: This is where orphans and vulnerable children receive help by sponsorship.

-EDUCARE  PROJECT : This is where kids are sent to school, to keep learning and opening their mind.

-NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT PROJECT: This is where children and parents sick with HIV or with strong cancer receive a help to have the right alimentation to support their medicine.

-GIFTED HANDS  PROJECT: This is where young mothers of 15 to 25 years old are given skill to become independent workers and support their family.

His plan and dream from the bottom of his heart for next year is:

TO ACQUIRE A PLOT OF LAND. This plot of land will need to have the space for:

-A day school of at least 10 classrooms, instead of 4 currently.

-A day care section for the babies under the age of three who are suffering from malnutrition in their respective family.

-A house for the orphans, where between classes, they will be able to go back to THEIR home.

-A section where orphans  or children in need could get access to a social helper, to speak, to tell, to ask for help in what it is needed.

-A section where the women of the “Gifted Hand Project” could come anytime and work on their creation and keep learning, and where skill workshop would be given.

-Bungalows, to allow visitors, helpers, volunteers to stay on site.

-A wide open air stadium, to receive the children and families when they graduate, when they perform or play sport.

This area would also be use for community purpose such as blood testing for HIV during weekend, family concealing and more.

So this whole project is starting at the latest in a year. To do it Peter and the Keilah Community Childcare Uganda need an amount of 35 000 AUD to BUY A LAND, that is to say 34 830 CAD, 27 248 USD or 22 785 EUR.

They already got 30 Care Givers on site that contribute an annual fee of 30,000 UGX (8 USD), and are willing to contribute local materials like wooden poles for the construction of the temporary structures once they acquire a land.

If you could give a donation that you can afford, material, hands, advices… anything, I am in contact with Peter, and I am amazed of his vision. I know, that talking with him, this is the most important for him to achieve, having seen himself the life as an orphan.

Some statistics for you to have an idea of the reality here in Uganda:

-In 2018, 1,4 million of Ugandans are affected with HIV,

-In 2018, 23 000 Ugandans died from related illness.

-Almost twice more women are affected than men.

-Those people are situated mostly in the age group of 15 to 25.

-In 2018, 95 000 children are left orphan

-HIV is the number one killer disease in Uganda.

So if that touches you, help Peter and his organization to reach their dream vision in Mukono, central south Uganda.

Because I believe that we lead by example, I AM GOING TO BE THE FIRST ONE TO CONTRIBUTE, and I AM GIVING THE FIRST 1,000 AUD to support them.

If you can’t make a donation at this point, help me reach Peter’s goals by sharing this page with others, like their facebook page www.facebook.com/keilah-community-childcare-ugandan  , ask to volunteer for free with them, sponsor a child in need… for any questions about it please feel free to contact me.

Thank you for your time and consideration, I am incredibly appreciative.
