To the evacuated familys of the gas explosion

Hey im Emma, me and my Aunt Katie are wanting to help our community centre as much as possible i have been a member for 18 years and received amazing help and support from them over the years and katie is a volunteer there.

As many of you know from the news there was a gas explosion on monday 8th on Galpins road pollards hill. Merton council and commonside community development trust at the new horizon community centre pollards, have been working hard to get what is now over 200 properties and 300 residents temporarily re homed. These residents have nothing and our wonderful community have been donating clothes food and tolietrys. It has been asked that those wanting to help with fundraising if we can think about day passes out for familys, meals out, activities and trips to take them away from the chaos and noise. Also because some of the accommodations are for night time only and they have to leave through out the day. This will be done with safeguarding messures in place for the vulnerable.

The events of monday killed a 4 year old little girl and 3 remain in critical condition. There is another go fund me for her family. But i must stress this one is for all the residents effected. And as the money is raised it will go directly to commonside from gofundme to arrange with familys what trip or activity they would like to do. We cant take away what happened but we can help ease what theyre going through. The majority of these familys are suffering and are going to need alot of support.
