To help raise money for ROYAL BOLTON NICU

Donation protected
Hello.. as many of you know I gave birth to a beautiful little girl on 16/10/23. She is everything we could have ever wished for and more. Unfortunately, the start of her life is not how we had hoped or planned for. Following from a routine midwife appointment, I was asked to rush over to Bolton Royal as our baby’s heart rate had become increasingly high. Within 20 minutes of being there, I was told i was to have an emergency C section straight away. The nurses and doctors were amazing and kept me very calm and safely delivered our little Willow. However, within an hour of her being born, professionals quickly noticed something was wrong and unfortunately had to take her and place her in an incubator in the NICU. The following day, we were told our baby’s heart rate was extremely high and there were no signs of it coming down. As the consultants at Royal Bolton went back and forth with the team at Manchester Children’s Hospital, it was confirmed that our baby had an atrial flutter in her heart, causing it to beat extremely fast. The team quickly decided the only thing to save our daughters life was to conduct a cardioversion procedure on her at just 24 hours old. This was one of the hardest things myself and my partner have ever had to go through but our little girl got through the procedure and began to show signs of improvement immediately. From then on she continued to stay in the NICU and was supported by machines and medication to help her breath and to regulate her heart rate, until she was well enough to do this herself. Our little Lolo amazed everyone every single day and progressed every day while on the unit until she could finally come home with us a week later. With that being said, we honestly believe that she would have never got through that week if it wasn’t for the amazing staff in the NICU. Each and every person that looked after Willow, day and night, took care of her with so much love and compassion. Not only looking after Willow, they also provided emotional support to us as parents and for that we are eternally grateful. As they did so much for myself and my family, me and Dan thought it was only right that we try and give something back in return. I would like to raise as much money as possible for the unit so any donations would be much appreciated. Thank you all so much for helping to raise money for such an amazing cause.
