To continue our journey together

Hi, introductions first I guess. (and apologies for the poor photo= lousy tec skills) My Name is Dave. My Wife is Debs. We have been married for 15 years now.
I have been a very Keen Biker for over forty years. I ride all year round; I service & Repair my own bikes. ( i do not own a car) My Wife loves bikes almost as much as I do (thank God) when we go on Holiday it is on the bike, when we go for a spin or a day out we go on the bike. The only time we do not use the bike is for big shops and in snow and ice.
We are both Nurses though Debs is now retired.
Just before Christmas of 2021 Debs discovered a lump in her abdomen she did everything one does in these times and In February Last year, Debs was diagnosed with Low-Grade Stage 2 ovarian cancer. This was also present in her peritoneum (the tissue which holds your insides together) and there was also some anomaly (still unknown) around her colon. As a result of the peritoneum being cancerous, there was no chance of surgery to help. The next few months were a bit of a blur and an emotional roller coaster for us both and the whole family as Debs went into Chemo. The upshot of this, it did not do anything at all. As a result, Debs was commenced on Tamoxifen, Which is a drug that stops the body from producing oestrogen which feeds the cancer. The hope is that over time her cancer reduces or at least holds the cancer stable. (which it currently is doing) Not long after the Chemo debs had a fluid build-up in her peritoneal cavity in the abdomen (she looked 9 months pregnant) we lost a lot of the Summer as riding the bike for anything more than a short hop was just too uncomfortable and on poor roads just too painful. On top of which was the fact that although Debs could squeeze into some of her gear it too added to her discomfort. After the fluid was initially drained, Debs had another four weeks with an in situ drain in her belly which meant there was no respite from the pain and discomfort of riding (the drain was also right on the waistband line) finally in September the drain was removed and up to press she has experienced no further fluid build-ups. Riding has however become more uncomfortable from this time. We both know and understand that over time things are not going to get better. We are asking for your help to make it possible for Debs & I to ride together for as long as possible. To this end, we would like to try to Raise around £12000 for a second-hand Honda Goldwing. We figure this will give us the longest time together to continue doing something we both love to do. The Goldwing represents the epitome of motorcycle comfort and the suspension can be further played with to increase comfort levels. we are financially at our limit and just cannot stretch to this. Though I will put my TDM900 in part ex once we reach enough to get a good wing. Here is hoping you can help us to continue to have a quality of life worth having for as long as we can have it.
