Manuel's Road to Recovery!

Hello, my name is Bianca Collins (sister of Manuel Collins). I have started this page to assist with my brother's ongoing expenses due to his medical issues during the past seven months. He has a wonderful family of 3 children and his wife, Candice. In 2016 He moved his family to Colorado to better their future in hopes of finding more stable work in his field. Soon he found his dream job at Gulftech and started to afford his family a better life than they could sustain in the job market in Waco, Texas. As the years passed, he was able to get everyone back on track for their future in the years to come. In November of 2021, Manuel started to feel ill, but being the optimist he is, he didn't think much of it as he endured the constant pain of daily living. As this became too much for him to handle and started to affect everything around him, he scheduled a doctor's appointment with his family doctor. Unfortunately, the visit was inconclusive as the doctor advised that Tylenol would be the simple fix to get him on the road to recovery. In June of 2022, he could not work due to the constant and unbearable pain that his body was in as he tried several times to return to a light-duty work schedule. As things did not get better, he became worried that what he was experiencing was a more serious medical issue. In October of 2022, he was admitted to the Littleton, Colorado, hospital. This was when the doctors diagnosed what he was experiencing as abdominal blockage and severe UC, with multiple blood clots throughout his body. Surgery has been performed, and a large portion of his colon has been removed to fix the issues from his UC, hopefully. He has been positive during this journey and hopes to return home in the next week, but a date for being able to return to work has not been set. Since Manuel has not been able to provide for his family as the primary provider in the past year, financial debt has become overwhelming. Hopefully, you know Manuel Collins and have experienced the joy he has brought to the life of those around him. I hope that if you can help in any way, you can do so.
