On Monday night, September 5th 2017, Mellissa got the phone call that NO parent ever wants to get. EVER. Her, Dave's and Colin's lives were dismantled in that instant. Connor "Peanut" Dzion was gone.
If you've ever been to Plantation Park, then you know who Peanut is. He's been on our soccer fields and played with our kids, the flag fields with our kids as a teammate and most recently as a referee. He has kicked several field goals for Creeks Football League "back in the day". He graduated in May from Creekside High School and would probably say his favorite field nowadays would be the Fairway.
Peanut's best role was Mellissa and Dave's son and Colin's brother. He has a big Fan Club. Extended family, friends, teammates, coaches, teachers and loved ones.
Please, lets pull together to honor Connor, better known as Peanut, and help the Dzion family during this incredibly difficult time.
Any amount you can help with will be greatly appreciated and go directly to Mellissa. Funeral arrangements have been made and are tentatively set for next weekend, the 15th through 17th. We will post updates as soon as everything is finalized.
