Dave is 33 years old and has spent the last 6 years working for the US Postal Service in Colchester, Vermont. He loves serving his customers and the mix of office work and working independently outside. Once COVID hit the delivery hours got longer and were much like the Christmas season. Anyone who knows Dave, knows he loves to use his humor in ALL situations, loves to help and give generously, and usually has a detailed story of everything. OH, and knows how to Google really well!
In January, Dave started to have various symptoms and after many trips to the Emergency Room found out he had a tumor in his Kidney. It turned out to be Synovial Sarcoma. After successfully having that removed, he still had some other issues. He went to the ER again a few more times and finally was diagnosed with stage IV Synovial Sarcoma cancer. The disease has metastasized to his bones, liver, lungs, along his spine and some in his femur. We consulted Dana Farber and they agreed with the treatment plan from UVMMC. He has done one round of Chemotherapy and has 5 more to go in the next 6 months.
