Taylor's medical journey

Donation protected
This is my daughter Taylor, she is 17 years old and has been having medical problems since she was 12. When Tay was in 6th grade she started having really bad stomach pain, by the time she was in 7th grade we had seen a urologist, a gi dr and a gy Dr with no answers they decided she she had to have a laparoscopy and they ended up removing her appendix, which ended up not being the problem. The pain never went away and she tried to learn to deal with it. Starting in 8th grade she started having problems with her heart where it would race out of control for no reason at all, we went to alot of different doctors and were not getting any answers. Finally when Taylor was in 9th grade we went to Abbott hospital and she was diagnosed with SVT and had an ablation done on her heart. Taylor tried hard to go on with her life. She loved to dance, she was on the dance team at her high school. The pain started to get worse in her stomach and her heart was still racing no matter what the drs tried to do. Taylor is now a jr in High school, she has been in and out of the er and drs offices alot the past year. She had to give up dancing because it was too hard on her body. We recently ended up getting into the Mayo clinic and have been going there for testing. We spent a week there in Nov 2017 trying to get some answers. Taylor has been diagnosed with dysautonomia, and we are still trying to learn all about it. We also have still been going to the mayo for more testing. This girl amazes me with all the tests she has been through and all the doctor appts she still tries to have a smile on her face, even with missing over 60 days of school she has a 3.3 gpa still, and she volunteers for a rescue and helps foster puppies. We recently learned that she has an opportunity to go to the Mayo for 3 weeks for a pain therapy clinic. This is to help her learn how to cope with the dysautonomia and how to control her pain and her heart rate. We have amazing insurance but they will not cover everything that need a to be done, or our expenses for the 3 weeks that we are down there. Asking for help is not an easy thing to do, putting your pride aside is really hard, but I need to do this so that I can help Taylor feel better. The money raised will go to medical bills, part of the pain therapy that our insurance won't pay, a hotel or something like that for the 3 weeks that Taylor and I are down there and also food for the 3 weeks we are there. Also I have to take the 3 weeks off of work and I am out of paid time off so it will help with that too. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the help! We appreciate it!
