Help Jose fight cancer

Our dad Jose Rincon (64) has been diagnosed with advanced cancer and metastasis.

Our family has always been blessed by being together here in Australia and we are thankful we can go through these difficult times united as a family. However, our dad has been in Australia with a visitor visa and he only had a visitor health insurance which has a limiting cover and he is not allowed to have Medicare either. Currently, we are assuming all expenses for his biopsy, medical tests, procedures and treatment which my dad needs with urgency.

Our dad worked very hard during all his life to have a peaceful and joyful old age, however, probably he is part of the generation which Venezuelan communism hurt the most, a generation who was left with nothing after all their hard work and with less chances to start all over again in another country.

Here are some of his current expenses:

Procedures: $4100

CT scans: $360 each.

Other scans in the hospotal (MRI/CT) $2570

Lab test ($105 each) one for each treatment.

Hospital stay $16,000.

Treatment every fornight - Initial treatment $1900.

Treatment second phase $10,000.

Our aim is to raise enough money so that we can pay all of his medical expenses, his ongoing basic living expenses and get the best possible treatment and care so he can get back to playing with his grandchildren Luisana, Krysta and Hannah. $10000 is an excellent start as we as a family continue to work harder than ever to keep coping with these costs as well.

Any help you can give is appreciated, I know that many of us are having a tough one but if you feel you can contribute with as little as you can then that will mean a lot to us, my family and my Dad who regardless of this diagnostic, is feeling hopeful and strong as he has always been.
