Hi, My name is Marlin Harrington, the Director of Maximum Energy Dance Academy, We are a north las vegas -based competition dance studio that serves talented at-risk dancers from the community. We specialize in HBCU line dance, majorette, hip hop, jazz and tumbling. The program is designed to get dancers prepared to advance to college and professional dance.

We Fundraise so that we can offer our students subsidized tuition.

One of our goals for 2023 is to get Maximum Energy into a new dance studio/performing arts center to continue pushing our initiative to give every child an opportunity to dance. Recently we have grown to over 75 dancers, and don’t have the space for everyone to attend consistently, even moving practice outdoors so everyone can practice. Recently it has been difficult to find a space in our budget, and with the space, we need to accommodate our dancers. The maximum energy dancers have worked so hard to win competitions in and out of state despite not having the full space needed to execute the movements, I am determined to make them great!

We wish to continue this venture. Providing a safe place to stop social vices as we believe and see the effect it has on our youth when we come together as a family, share our hearts through dance, and laughter, and provide a support system for one another.

Navigating any small business through economic changes is a challenge, but an arts organization that caters to children was another dimension of survival and our budget does not cover the costs of some very important expenses that are not wishes but needs.

We believe dance is one of the greatest expressions of the human spirit. We were drawn to it from our earliest days and the joy it brought us and those that experienced it with us. Along the way, we discovered a passion from so many of our area students and we developed as a huge dance family.
