Hello, my name is Jasmin, aka "Mimin". I am the niece of Edwin Concepcion. I am creating this page for our dear Tito Edwin and his family, Auntie Janet, Angelo and Andrew.
Tito Edwin, Auntie and Andrew have been on vacation in the Philippines this past month and due to return home on 2/4. However, we received tragic news that Tito Edwin had suffered a stroke on 1/31 while they were in the province of Batan, Aklan. Tito was driven to the nearest "big city" of Kalibo, and on their way, he fell unconscious. The hospital did not have the equipment/technology of a MRI; so he was transferred to the next "bigger city" of Iloilo which is where he is now, St. Paul Hospital.
Tito has bleeding and swelling in his brain. He is in a coma. The doctors cannot do anything until the swelling improves... but the time for that is unknown, and the hospital staff won't do anything, even administer medications, without payment up front.
Alongside are Auntie Janet and Andrew. Angelo is here in Chicago, but we are trying to get him on the next plane. However, we have encountered some passport issues but hope to get that resolved ASAP.
We kindly request your prayers, thoughts, kindess and generosity. As Tito Edwin and family were near the end of their trip, their spending money was at its last dollars... and now obsolete. They are in desperate times and now in need of desperate measures especially to get them together in one room, let alone the same country, and also to get Tito Edwin the BEST care he could receive away from home.
We deeply appreciate any help you could provide!
