The Jennings family Desperately needs Help to cover the funeral and burial costs for their mommy who recently died from Cancer!
It is with heavy hearts that we share with family, friends and our community, the sudden death of our Mommy, Tina Jennings, who died on August 9, 2017 from cardiac arrest due to Cervical Cancer which she had been battling for 3 years.
Mommy was 60 years old when she died. She has faced many difficult challenges in her life and despite them, she has met them head on and with a smile. Mommy was a survivor. She was a fighter. When Mommy was in the prime of her life at the young age of 32, she suffered a Brain Aneurism, a Stroke and total memory loss. She never regained her memory and as such she spent the next 28 years, the rest of her life, not knowing who she was nor who any of her children were. Yet these challenging obstacles only seemed to make her stronger and determined to keep going. She always kept a smile on her face and though she did not know any of her children she allowed them to care for her until the day she died.
Mommy had also been battling Cervical Cancer for 3 years but it had gone into remission only to return with a vengeance a year ago. Each of her children had been sharing in the care of Mommy and even taking her into their homes in order to keep her from going into the health care system and being cared for by strangers. This task was made even more difficult because Mommy had no memory, hence, she did not recognize any of her children and saw them strangers. Yet, in spite of this, her children continued to provide and to care for her gently and lovingly.
Due to Mommy’s long-term sicknesses, she was not able to get any life insurance, therefore, her death has created a huge financial burden on her children, who have been diligently caring for her for 28 years. Funerals are expensive and since Mommy was unable to obtain life insurance the family is asking for help from loved ones, family, friends and the community for ANY donations, if at all possible to help pay for the funeral and burial . The total cost for the funeral and burial is $5,500.
While the family has found a funeral home willing to work with them, unfortunately, before the funeral home will take Mommy’s body from the hospital morgue, the funeral home wants all the money for the funeral and burial upfront. As such, the family is unable to do anything for Mommy at this time. They are unable to set a date for the funeral, unable to remove Mommy from the hospital. They are unable to do anything.
