Help Tim Build His Home
Thank you for visiting our fund raising page to raise money for Tim's future home.
Tim was born with cerebral palsy due to the lack of oxygen to the brain during birth as a result from the delay by a student midwife. He has only very limited body control, no speech, wheelchair bound & being feed through gastric tube.
His law case in 2003 was dismissed by ridiculous bureaucratic excuses. Instead of being consumed by negative energy, anger & bitterness.
We choose to encourage Tim to experience positivity by meeting people, travelling & taking part in various activities.
Some may remember Tim as one of the martial art student in CBBC documentary- My Life The Karate Kids.

With Tim's hard work & dedication over the years. Tim has won the Cerebra Funny Bone award in 2009 for his ability to make people around him happy & Jack Petchey award in 2014 for his Eye Gaze performance with Haringey Shed theatre company. And being nominated for Sportsman of the year by Sanjuro Martial Art teacher Glenn in 2016.
It's so touching that he decided to live independently. He's concerned about us working so hard as parents all these years to care for him with our own health problems.
He had a chance to stay in an independent living placement with 24/7 carers after he turned 18. But after the change of management at the place, the service fell apart. The next place he stayed also couldn't meet his needs. Things were really out of our control with these moves. It sadly costed Tim's health dearly which left him lost 7kgs at one point & missed school for over 2 months. Even though his health has settled now, the place he's staying is only temporary & he misses out a lot of activities because of the area it's located.
With no existing permanent placement available to fit all Tim's high needs. We desperately want to complete this property so that Tim can finally has a place he can call home & continue to flourish into a productive young man after all the up & down for the last 18months.
We believe in the kindness of general to finish off the project with positive blessing rather than just keep fighting with limited funding as other people with disabilities also need to improve their lives with.
Thank you for reading and we hope you can contribute in any way you can to helping Tim.

Original floor plan
Plan with works which Occupational therapist from Adaptation agreed to approved for Grant which only cover Tim's needs of access & personal care.
The plan shows the rest of the works we need to find funding for to finish the property into livable condition for Tim & his carers
The plan shows finishing stage with features both for Tim & his carers, friend & visitors in the future.
