Tim's fight against PKD and CAPS

Donation protected
Timothy Sandberg suffers from Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) dating back to 1998 and has progressed to end stage kidney disease (stage 5) this year.  His disease is complicated by another medical condition called catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome (an autoimmune blood clotting disorder) which he was diagnosed with over 2 years ago.  As a result, he is on lifetime anticoagulation and has not been able to work for several years.
Tim underwent surgery early October to remove both his kidneys at OHSU in Portland, Oregon. The procedure was called, "Open Laparoscopic Robotic Hand-Assist Bilateral Nephrectomy."  He now requires hemodialysis three times per week at our local dialysis unit in Klamath Falls. Tim is awaiting a kidney transplant from OHSU. Unfortunately,  he has only accrued a small amount of time thus far.  In addition, Tim also has a rare blood type (B negative) and could potentially wait up to  3-5 years for a donor kidney.  He is a loving father to our three beautiful children who just want to see their "daddy" healthy. This campaign will help offset the out-of-pocket medical expenses incured during his pre-surgery testing, OHSU hospitalization for his recent surgery and his dialysis related cost, and all past present and future traveling expenses during this difficult time.
With tremendous gratitude in our heart we thank you for your financial support & continued prayers. Blessings to all!
