Tim’s battle with stage 4 lung cancer

In August this year our lives were turned upside down it’s a journey we never thought we would ever be apart of.
Our dad complained of shoulder blade pain after 3 months of putting up with serve pain and discomfort he finally went to see a GP who told him that is was muscular pain and sent dad of to see a physiotherapist dad attended 3 appointments but the pain was just getting worse.
On the morning of the 23 of August dad woke up and had no movement in both his legs so we called the ambulance and made a trip up the hospital where they took dad for a chest x-ray the results come back that dad has a 10cm tumour in the middle of his chest compressing on his wind pipe.
Dad was formally diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer causing spinal cord compression and superior vena cava obstruction. As a result of the spinal cord compression dad is now a paraplegic he also has one lung and lung disease.
Dad was rushed for emergency radiation and introduced to the oncology team he spent over a month in hospital after consulting with his oncologist Dr dad undergoes chemotherapy and immunotherapy every 21 days for 8 hours at the bright centre Randwick he has currently had 4 rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy and has another 2 rounds left to go. Surgery isn’t an option for dad at this stage as its too risky. He may never be able to have surgery because of the location of the tumour.
We have little money and the hire cost of dads Bed, wheelchair and medication Is beyond meagre. Dad has given back plenty in his life and know needs a little help from those who can, any donation big or small will help.
Please help our dad in the fight of his life.
