Times have changed in America

Our world, as we have known it, is pushing the small business owner out of business and on to the streets through losing their homes.  Our small business, Patriot Cane, and our living situation is no exception.

We are trying to be proactive in our dilemma and take hold of the situation with your help before it destroys us completely.  We want to give our last two employees severance pay for the next three months; we have a bank loan due by the end of this year that we want to pay now before we are foreclosed on; and we want to downsize to living in a travel trailer until we can regroup in 2021.  To do this, we need about $20,000, which includes $10,000 for a small travel trailer.

In the last six months, we have downsized our business to one veteran employee and one office employee.  We are also on the brink of losing our home, which includes our workshop.  We haven’t been able to pay our employees nor our bank loans.

At Patriot Cane, our mission is to introduce our superior American made walking canes to anyone who needs assistance in walking or who feels vulnerable while using a cane. We emphasize stability, safety and self-protection. We also aim to help disabled veterans who return home with PTSD, along with physical impairments, who have no strong support system or even know what to do once they are home. We at Patriot Cane know how important a support system is and aspire to offer help to those veterans and anyone else needing a strong, reliable walking cane.

Due to the virus shutdowns with people losing their jobs, they have not had the money to purchase our products.  People are losing their homes and putting their priorities on surviving just one more day.  We are now among these people – trying to survive just one more day.

We truly believe that this is only a setback (albeit a horrible, horrible setback) but our belief in God, persistence toward our dream, and our belief in our fellow human beings, will help get us out of this financial burden we find ourselves in.  We believe that “what doesn’t kill us will make us stronger”.  Thank you for listening, I pray God bless you and your family, and thank you for any support you can give (a minimum of $5).
