Tim Smiley Long-Term Care

Tim Smiley, who is father/brother/uncle/cousin/friend to many of us was critically injured in an auto accident in Wilcox County, Alabama, on Tuesday, December 17th, 2019. It appears that he swerved to avoid hitting a deer and his car went airborne, rolled down an embankment, then hit a tree. He was critically injured and rushed to a hospital in Montgomery where he was found to have bleeding on the brain, multiple facial fractures, a shattered right arm, punctured bladder, broken pelvis, ruptured spleen, fractured right leg, and broken right ankle. He was literally injured from head to foot and has undergone multiple life-saving and restorative surgeries.

He remains in intensive care and will be hospitalized indefinitely. His recovery will be difficult, long, and very expensive - well beyond what insurance and long-term disability benefits will cover. This GoFundMe campaign is established to help augment those coverages. Donations will also supplement funds family members are spending on travel, lodging, food, utilities, and other expenses to support his recovery efforts at the hospital and maintain his household while he is hospitalized. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
