Tim Newell - Post Heart Transplant

Hello family & friends!

My uncle, Tim Newell, had a heart transplant last week. He will be in Seattle for 3 months after surgery and has to have a care giver with him at all times.

The hospital has appointed my cousin (his daughter, Natasha) as the main care giver but she live a six hour drive away, so she'll be commuting to stay with him the majority of the week.

Her kids are still little and having their mom away for the majority of three months is an incredibly difficult situation for her family. 

Funds raised will pay for a caregiver to assist on the weekends (not covered by insurance) when she's home with her kids, groceries and gas.

Also, if you know anyone or have any family in the Seattle area who could offer basic companion services (making sure he gets to his doctors appointments, driving him), we are looking for volunteers or reasonably costing help for the next few months to supplement gaps when family can not be there. 

Tim is 61 years old and is a loving father and grandfather to six.  He'd been working as lead investigator for the Marion (OR) County Public Defenders office.

He has been dealing with a heart condition since 2010. With this heart condition, he has had defibrillators and pace maker, but nothing would work, resulting in the need for the transplant. He lives an active life style going to sporting event and golfing until the last few months.
