For those who know me, you know I've been at this cancer thing for quite a while.  For those who don't; I was originally diagnosed in 2004, while I was pregnant, with Stage 1 Breast Cancer.  I have a beautiful girl who is now 13 and in good health!   I was later diagnosed Stage 4 (metastatic to bones) in January 2011.  I have been through so many treatments, it's hard to keep track now.  I've been through multiple surgeries and chemotherapies along the way.  This past year, I started to see that the new chemo's my oncologist was prescribing were having little effect and only lasting about 3 months.  This is not a good sign.  There are still a just a few traditional options left before I'd have to try clinical trials, but I can feel how weakened my body is from all the treatments over the past 7 years.  I'm just not sure my body will survive the traditional chemotherapy anymore.

I found an integrative oncology clinic close to my home after much research into various clinics here in the US and abroad.  Being a single mom, I felt it would be very difficult to leave the country for a month or more to receive treatment abroad.  The current clinic I'm working with uses IPT (insulin potentiated low dose chemotherapy) in combination with supportive holistic/alternative therapies such as Poly-MVA & IV vitamin C to name a few.  I'm currently receiving six low dose chemo's simultaneously twice weekly.  I receive supportive IV's twice weekly as well.  The side effects are less than traditional chemo for the most part, but I am losing my hair for something like the 6th time, as you can see from my recent photo.  Traditional chemo was not guaranteed to work and the bone metastases were getting severe again.  In 2016, I experienced over 10 pathological fractures throughout my body due to the cancer.  I used to be 5'2", but now just barely 5' after the compression fractures in my spine.  I'm currently using a back brace and walker to get around due to the current increase in bone destruction.

I do feel I am responding well to this IPT chemo regimen and wish to continue.  The problem is that it is not covered by insurance because they use the chemotherpies differently than is traditional.   The costs are adding up for me and I'm running out of the money I took out of my retirement and the cash out refinance I did on my home.  Any donation, no matter how big or small will help me continue with these life saving treatments.  If you can't donate due to your own circumstances, please share this fundraiser as far and wide as you can!  Please help me to live to see my daughter grow into the wonderful person I know she will become.  I don't want to miss out on all her important milestones and I feel I have much more left to give to this world.

For anyone who doesn't know me personally, I am more than willing to provide any requested information to show all I'm going through.  As I said above, I'm not sure my body can handle the traditional treatments that are available anymore.  I know this is the right path for me, but desperately need support to afford the Integrative Treatments.
