Everyone knows my mom as Tia. Whether you are a friend, a family member or a child, you most likely call her Tia! Even her grand-babies never call her gramma, they always call her Tia!
Tia has impacted the lives of so many during her long daycare journey. One of my favorite things to see is when it all comes back full circle. A child that she has raised, grows up, has children of their own and brings them to Tia. Entrusting your most precious child with someone can be such a difficult thing to do. Thankfully, Tia is truly like taking your baby to gramma's house.
If you go to Tia's house, you know that she will promote lots of playing, no devices, and only Jesus! The friendships that our children develop at Tia's house are so genuine and unforgettable.
The reason that I started this account is the following: I would like to provide a space that my mom can be proud of. My mom does not want to move. She loves the community that she has built and friends and family always know that her door is always open at this location. She loves that.
I would like to restore her home. As we all know, our little munchkins can cause some wear and tear. My husband and I plan to update her kitchen cabinets. Our friend Mike Iddings has so graciously offered to get her a new refrigerator. Janie's mom & dad have lovingly provided her with a stove for her kitchen.
I would like to replace her carpet with wood vinyl planking so that she does not have to replace the carpet every couple of years. I would like to replace the kitchen and bathroom tile along with the backsplash and the apartment lighting. We would also like to have her unit professionally painted. There are several things that we are planning to update and I would truly appreciate your help with this project.
We have friends that are in the renovation industry that can assist us with the work itself. I am hoping that we can receive some financial assistance with the materials.
