Charity for Cape Verdean Children

BACKGROUND
In every of my trips to developing countries, I make efforts to interact with local communities, families and children and see them smile. I love to learn from them, but I also like to give them something back.
Following similar actions I carried out in Ethiopia, Kenya and Seychelles in the past, I plan on doing something in May 2018 when I will be visiting Cape Verde in Africa on a private trip.
This time I thought I could leave a larger footprint by gathering the support from friends and family. And this is why I opened this GoFundMe account.
I will be putting together money raised through this platform along with charity funds I am asking as gifts for my Birthday in February.
I will report the development of this action via my Facebook page and its results via my personal website.

GOAL
My goal is to raise €2000 to invest in family-support and children education projects in Cape Verde. The original goal was actually €1000. Since the response from family, friends and supporters has been incredibly positive by 19. January already (a million thanks, by the way), I've decided to double the challenge, therefore doubling the impact! :-)
