Thor - the rescue
On January 17th I was visiting a friend in PA where I rescued a beautiful kitty, he was kept in a homemade “chicken coop” which was not even big enough for a chicken. This coop was made up of 4 posts and chicken wire. This cat was so skinny, I started crying. When I let him out, he could barely walk. My assumption is that he lost muscle mass by not being able to move around freely. I picked him up and he smelled putrid, like feces and urine. I took him in my car and I drove 3 hours back home to NY. He laid on my lap the entire drive too weak to move at all. I’ve been nursing him back to health in my bathroom. He is walking! He is eating and getting his weight back! I’m so proud of him. BUT, he is in need of a vet check up and with COVID, and being a mom of 3, it’s difficult for me to pay a large bill at this time. I called the vet today to get a ballpark price on Thor’s visit. She said the Max would be $250, that’s just for the walk in, some shots and a fecal test to test for feline leukemia. If you’re touched by Thor’s story, I’m asking for a little help to get him the medical attention that he needs. Anything would help! We appreciate it!
