This Is My Pool - Documentary

Rockpools are an iconic feature of Australia’s coastline. Nearly 100 rockpools are scattered around the vast, spectacular coastline of Australia. Most of them are situated on the coastal stretch of New South Wales.

Each rockpool has its own geological features, history and design. Built as the 19th century came to a close and the 20th century emerged, to this day, rockpools have played an important part in life of Australians, offering a place for locals to meet their neighbours, create lifelong friendships and swim in safety.Little known stories that have played a role in influencing our nation's identity are tucked away in the history of these pools.

It’s time to shine a light on the characters who make us proud to be Australian. In this documentary we will feature 4 iconic rockpools and the story behind it, sometimes heartwarming, often surprising, but always inspiring.

There is so much that needs to be told about these unique constructions which, in all of their beauty, have become a symbol of Australia.

Join us as we unlock their secrets.
