Dear friends of Third Haus,
As you are undoubtedly aware, we are living in unprecedented times. The coronavirus pandemic has affected not only people’s day to day lives, but their livelihoods as well. Third Haus has been operating as a thriving, in-person after school and weekend program in San Francisco’s Mission District for almost a year now. We have been fortunate enough to employ a variety of thoughtful, educated, talented mentors to work with our children on a regular basis. Our team has established wonderful working relationships with the kids who come to our space, and it has been a joy to see the connections that have been made.
With the recent Shelter in Place mandate, our operations have come to a halt. Our business, which provided students with an educational and supportive after school environment, boarded up our windows to comply with neighborhood requirements. Despite the closure of our physical location, our mentors continue to work hard, beginning the challenging transition to online learning opportunities. Like many other organizations, we are in the process of determining how to best fit our students’ needs remotely. We are also still maintaining our plans to run our summer camp programs and would like to make these a reality when the Shelter in Place mandate is lifted.
We understand that choosing where to offer your financial support is a difficult task. Any support you contribute will aid us in paying our staff, keeping our programs operating and allow us to keep our lights on. Please consider donating, big or small, to help us continue to offer the programs that benefit so many. Or, if you are unable, please help share the word about Third Haus so that we can reach as many families as possible.
