Donation protected
The COVID-19 NHS Family Hardship Relief Fund has been set up to support the families and loved ones of frontline NHS staff, who have selflessly given their own lives whilst performing their duties as doctors and nurses in the fight against COVID-19.

Dr Alfa Saadu, the doctor had worked for the NHS for 40 years and retired in 2017 but carried on working part-time at the Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital in Welwyn, Hertfordshire lost his life to last week to COVID-19.

Nurse Thomas Harvey (57) from Upper Clapton, London who was a father-of-seven lost his life to COVID-19 after more than 20 years of service to the NHS.

Three other doctors have died after contracting COVID-19 - ear, nose and throat consultant, Amged El-Hawrani, 55, Adil El Tayar, 63, an organ transplant specialist and Southend GP Dr Habib Zaidi.

These are just a few examples of NHS frontline staff sacrificing themselves in the line of duty for us.

Let's honour the families and children of all the NHS staff who may loose their lives in the fight for us, by donating to this relief fund.

Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
