My name is Jordan Montes.
And I’m trying to start up a Gourmet Taco Stand for the West Michigan Community called "The Taco Father". By the donations that I get through Go Fund Me, I will be able to invest in this business adventure legitimately. Your donations will allow me to purchase a mobile food cart, food license, marketing materials and of course all the yummy ingredients I will need to get started.
Just like a lot of people, I’ve spent the last several years sitting behind a computer screen, working a day job in Customer Service. While it’s paid the bills, it’s defiantly not my passion. What I’ve always wanted to do is cook. Making the best Gourmet Tacos and watching my customer’s expressions as they take that first bite. So, why a mobile taco cart instead of something more traditional? That is easy, LOW OVERHEAD!!!
I don’t know how to run a restaurant, and I don’t claim too. I’m good at a few things, connecting with people through laughter, and making some of the best Tacos you have ever had in your whole life.
Keeping the business lean with no ongoing operating costs like staff or rent allows me to stay focused on the one thing I’m really good at… Making Tacos!!!
After hours of studying and strategizing, speaking with other food truck owners both in and out of town, I’ve crunched the numbers, and I’m going to need approximately $3,500 to turn this dream into a reality. As it turns out, banks aren’t too quick to finance a dude whose commercial kitchen experiences are limited to cooking for friends and family or loading a dishwasher… That is why I need your help.
