Theta Chi’s dream girl philanthropy
Tax deductible
Hi! My name is Lisa Ornelas I am a freshman at the University of Washington and a proud member of my sorority, Phi Mu. I am planning on majoring in nursing so that I can help people in need and hope to make a positive impact in other people’s lives.
To begin this journey, I am competing in Theta Chi’s dream girl philanthropy. We will be raising money to help benefit the Kyle Charvat Foundation. All funds and donations will be given to the Foundation to be used to provide financial assistance to young adults diagnosed with any form of life-threatening cancer. I am hoping to raise $2,000 by April 25th
In 2006, Kyle was a greatly loved brother of the theta chi fraternity at UW when he was diagnosed with a deadly brain tumor. When children become young adults, they generally do not have adequate financial resources to afford high medical bills. Most charitable organizations target young children and this leaves young adults in a somewhat anonymous group. For those that suffer a catastrophic medical condition requiring medical care beyond what insurance will provide, there is often nowhere to turn to fund medical treatment.
The mission of the Kyle Charvat Foundation is to lend a helping hand to those unfortunate young adults that can’t afford those high medical bills. The young men of this house have a personal connection to this foundation and this is why they are so dedicated to helping other young adults like Kyle in anyway they can.
Help me make a difference and donate today!
